Click Start from the power user menu and choose Device Manager if your Brother Printer in Error State. Under View, choose Show Hidden Devices from the drop-down box. After expanding the category, select Printer Port. A pop-up menu will display; choose Properties. By pressing Port Settings, the option to Use Any Interrupt Assigned to Port can be chosen. Select the checkbox next to Legacy Plug and Play Detection to enable it. By selecting OK, the Device Manager is closed. Finally, restart your computer.
